BJ60

The BJ60 model is a 60 series that came with the 3B engine. It was either mated with a 4 speed transmission or a 5 speed in the later years after 1983(mid year).

The biggest complaint with a 3B powered 60 series is the lack of highway power to pass and climb hills. Especially with bigger than stock tires.

On the trail you can expect to use less than a 1/3 of the fuel of a gasser 60 series. Many times when idling along a trail all day it will only burn a few gallons of diesel. This is where the BJ60 truly shines. Average highway mileage might be around 25 MPG and 17 city.

A turbo really changes the deficiency of this model.
