    • Birfields
      68-75 Cruiser drum brake birfields, coarse 6-spline outers
      76-78 Cruiser birfields - slightly smaller bell and slightly longer stub shaft than later Cruiser and minitruck, fine spline
      01/79-01/90 Cruiser birfields (?J40/45/47/55/56/60/61/62) = Minitruck birfields(79-90 mini/hilux/surf)
      cast Marfields = Newfields = Longfields = minitruck (bell diameter and shaft length)
    • Front Inner Axle Shafts
      FJ60/2 short side same as FJ40 short side ~ 17-1/4"
      FJ60/2 long side same as minitruck long side (79-85) ~ 31-7/16"
      Minitruck short side fine spline ~ 15-5/16"
      FJ40/55 long side fine spline (68-83) ~ 29-1/8"
      P/N for inner axle seal = Chicago Rawhide #12810 (NAPA)

      FJ60/2 long side is exclusive.

      FJ60 thru 1984 patterns match 4-speed FJ40 patterns
      84 Minitruck front CV shaft pattern (CV end) matches 4-speed 40 pattern (opposite end does not)

         NOTE: prior to these dates you had a mix of Fed spec, Cali spec, high altitude, etc...anything goes...
         NOTE: quite a few 81's and 82's do not have the idle up feature for A/C, missing the diaphragm 
               and also the linkage on the front side of the primary throttle shaft.
    • Exhaust SBC exhaust crossover - order from '66 1/2 ton Chevy w/283
      Cooling Chevy 350 to stock Cruiser radiator - upper hose is Gates 20416, lower hose is Gates 20573
      Transfer Case 81-84 FJ60 w/H42 4-speed - 1.990:1
      85-87 FJ60 w/H42 4-speed - 2.276:1
      87-90 FJ60 w/A440F Automatic - 2.276:1 
         NOTE: exceptions have been found in split-case ratios. Bearing - 3-speed transfer/4-speed tranny adapter
